Red Rhino is tremendously grateful to the support of the local and wider community in which we operate and we recognise that our success as a company cannot take place without their support and ongoing business. Red Rhino also appreciates and respects the valuable work that not-for-profit organisations make to the local community. We believe that a meaningful way to say “Thank you” to our local communities is by offering to share our accumulated knowledge for no charge, in an effort to raise their profile online.

Therefore, we are pleased to offer free domain registration, free web hosting and free web site design to deserving organisations.

While we would love to take on all projects offered, this offer unfortunately only applies on a limited basis depending on workload and resources available at any time. We can’t promise a free web site design to all applicants, but we encourage you to make a request nevertheless.

“Pro bono” is a phrase derived from Latin meaning “for the good”. The term is sometimes used to describe professional work undertaken voluntarily and without payment as a public service. As this pro bono web design work is accepted on a limited basis, the greater the lead-time you can provide us, the better. The web site, which you will be able to update yourself, will be delivered within a reasonable time frame and accompanied by our normal excellent customer service.

If you are non-profit making organisation (for example, a church, a school or a community group) please feel free to make a request. Tell us about your organisation, what you require (in as much detail as possible) and how you propose to use your web site. We promise to review all applicants and come back to you promptly with feedback. All qualifying applications will be kept on file for future consideration, even if we don’t commit to your project straightaway.

To qualify for our pro-bono web design services, your organisation must meet the following criteria:

  • Registered Charity or Non-Profit
  • Based in the U.K. (Northern Ireland applicants will be given preference)
  • Have a technically capable client contact, experienced in general computer and internet/email use, who can co-ordinate and manage the project on the client side
  • Not be under any urgent time constraints for having the site completed and live - while we will try and keep your project moving ahead, we ask you to understand that paying clients have to take priority when workloads are high.

  • Web Hosting
  • Web Site design with up to six pages
  • One email contact address

What’s not included
