Registering your own domain name is the first step you’ll take to establish a permanent presence online.
Red Rhino is an Authorised OpenSRS/Tucows Domain Reseller and an Accredited .ie (IEDR) Domain Reseller. We can register and set-up any domain name for you in any of the hundreds of TLD (Top Level Domains) types available.
Red Rhino always registers new domain names with the client name as the domain owner, which makes you the legal owner of the domain name. This is something not all web designers do and unfortunately can lead to problems when you decide to transfer your web site or domain name away from them. We will manage the domain’s registration details and annual renewals on your behalf, to ensure you don’t lose the domain in the future.
If you have already registered the domain you wish to use for your new site, we can arrange for its transfer or redirection so we can use it for your new web site. We will manage the switchover to ensure there’s no downtime of your existing site or emails. You will remain as owner of the domain at all times. If your existing domain has been registered with someone else as the legal owner (we will check this out before the transfer) we can arrange for you to be named as the domain’s legal owner.
As well as offering the full range of ‘normal’ TLD (Top Level Domains), we can also offer Irish .ie domain registrations, as Red Rhino is an Accredited .ie (IEDR) Reseller.
Irish .ie domain names are available to register by any individual, company or organisation with a connection to Northern Ireland or the Republic of Ireland. If you are based anywhere else, you can still register an Irish .ie domain name if you can demonstrate trade or commercial activity within Northern Ireland or Republic of Ireland. We will investigate and advise you on that.
